   Pale Blue Dot
Pale Blue Dot Jason Krug's original composition attempts to capture, in melody and harmony, the sentiments of life on what astronomer Carl Sagan famously described as our “Pale Blue Dot”. This masterful work explores our seemingly insignificant place in space, celebrates the achievements of humankind, notes our many challenges, and finally, expresses hope that we can set aside those things that divide us and rally around the thing that unites us all: our very small, very fragile planet Earth.

Begins in E Major, using the singing bell technique coupled with bowed handchimes (instructions for how to execute the technique are given). A brief atonal transition (notated in C Major) leads into the middle section in e minor, before returning to E Major for the ending. 125 measures.
