Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross - The introduction of this favorite gospel song finds the bells in flute-like counter-melody above the true melody rung on chimes in the lower register. Flowing textures ensue with a final passage of suspended bells on the tune "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross." The ending is a nice change from the usual big endings, giving the listener a chance to reflect on the cross.

Jubilation Praise - "O praise ye the Lord, all things that give sound; each jubilant chord, re-echo around." This quote from the pen of Henry Williams Baker (1821-1877) is the inspiration for this original composition for handbells and optional handchimes in the upper, 3-octave range. The moods range from maestoso to allegro to dolce as the bells ring in fully-scored textures.
